Pond Kits VS. Pond Parts

A Pond Is Made Up Of Many Different Parts

And when those parts are assembled together correctly, they form a beautiful, organic, naturalistic work of art that changes personality with the time of day, the change of the seasons, the moods of Mother Nature. But until you've assembled them, they're just a bunch of unrelated parts, without continuity, without function, and without aesthetic appeal.

Now, if you find yourself in the market for a pond, a water garden in your backyard, you should know that you can buy pond parts separately. And if you shop around you'll find that certain vendors sell certain parts for less money than other vendors. So, on the surface, you can save money if you shop around and buy your parts from a variety of different vendors. But that's only at first glance.

In other words, I suggest that first glance is only that, a first glance. And if you're willing to take a second, third, or even a fourth glance, I think you'll get an entirely different perspective on the way to buy your pond.

THEY MUST WORK TOGETHER, OR...
For starters, it's essential to recognize that all those parts must be built in such a way that they all fit together, and work together, in harmony, as a unit, as a team. If they don't, you've got problems that add up to headaches. And when you buy different parts from different vendors, you have piecemeal you have hodgepodge, you have problems and you have headaches... regardless of how much money you think you saved over the short haul.

VOLUME DISCOUNTS ANYONE?
Next, as far as the real cost savings is concerned, there's a significant difference between buying anything one part at a time and buying in bulk or volume, right? Ever hear of a volume discount? And when you buy all the parts from the same manufacturer, you not only assure yourself that all the parts are built to work together, in harmony, you're also making a volume purchase and you can expect to see a volume discount on your bottom line cost.

COMPARING BOTTOM LINES TO BOTTOM LINES...
More specifically, if you add up ALL the prices from all the different vendors you could buy your pond parts from, and compare that figure to the bottom line figure of a KIT PRICE, (discounted for volume), you'll see that you're saving money, not losing money, by buying all your parts from the same manufacturer...I GUAAANTEE IT!

And then if you throw in all the time you wasted by shopping around, comparing prices of this part and that part, and coordinating all this (if you can do it at all) you're losing even more money because TIME IS MONEY... RIGHT? If you can find the right place to get all the right parts (in kit form), delivered at the right time, that's what I call "One Stop Shopping". That's what I call "efficient." What do you call it?

YOU WOULDN'T MAKE THIS MISTAKE BUYING A NEW CAR...
Think of it this way. Next time you go out to buy a new car, are you going to buy:

  • The engine from one vendor
  • The brakes from another
  • The transmission from another
  • The body from another
  • Etc., etc., etc.

And then would you expect to be able to assemble it in your garage? And that it would actually work? On the road? With you behind the wheel? And your family in the car?

Now if that sounds completely absurd, totally nuts, then I ask, why would you do basically the same thing with your water garden? That makes no sense. You don't save any money (no volume discounts). You don't need the added headaches!

What you do need is a beautiful, relaxing, natural, organic, holistic work of art sitting in your own backyard so you, your family, and your friends can enjoy it together. That being the case, we suggest that you follow the "KISS" keep it simple stupid) formula for water garden installation.
